Where Public Health and Faith Communities Partner for Health Improvement

Who We Are

Founded in 1996 by Dr. Caswell Evans, the Caucus on Public Health and the Faith Community (CPHFC) provides a platform for scholarship, practice, and partnership at APHA and beyond – supporting faith communities as trusted partners in improving the human condition.

We all recognize that dotted across this country is a rich fabric of faith organizations in various faith communities... but what they all share is a belief in faith and dedication to the improvement of the human condition which is exactly what public health is about, improvement in the human condition.”

Dr. Caswell Evans, CPHFC Founder & Former President of APHA
